Hi There,

I've got a problem regarding a PS2 Slim V.12 cc1.0 with laserfix firmware 16 hacked.

Since this morning my PS2 donsn't recognise DVD-R games anymore. I played for monthes now with the above mentioned settings. There is no difference using the BM16 or 17 or non of them, nor firmeware 15, 16, 18.

After the DVD is insert the playstation logo and the sound is as normal displayed. After that sometimes the ps2 shows black screen or boots to the ps2 system and browser config menue.
So I have no probl. with my burned DVD cause they ran for month now.
Isn't it strange that I can boot CD-R's and no DVD-R:chinscrat

Could please anyone help?!

Thanks

If it´s read only cd and not dvd It´s almost always the laser that have gone.
Just change the laser and you should be playing again.(It´s happening on the early v12 after a while.)

toss in a DVD movie and disable chip. if it works fine mabe you just need the resistor on tracking not focus. also ajusting the pots help. Those Slims are Crap i have had them die on me when testing b4 chip install and after..

There are tutorials all over the net for adjusting the pots. However, this can damage your ps2 & cause it not work at all. Find a tutorial & pay close attention to the instructions on how this is done. There may even be a tutorial on this site for that but I'm not sure. ;)
