i'm having some problems. i finally figured out how to launch sms and ulaunchelf on my playstation and i'm trying to play files via networking from my computer to the ps2.

my main problem:
- my computer wont connect to my ps2. my ps2 does recognize the internet connection and shows that the ipaddress is 192.168.0.10 when i run the ps2network setting on the ulaunchelf.. but when i try to load up the ps2client.exe from cmd, it keeps giving me an error saying:

[ERROR] Connect socket failed. (-1)
[ERROR] Connect to request failed. (-3)
[ERROR] Connect to ps2link failed. (-1)

i've also tried running the ps2client-gui but doesnt seem to work, either.

my not so important problem:
- my ulaunchelf settings wont save. does it have to do with anything with my memory card space? i have about 500kb left on the memory card.

i reallyy need help. i've been at it this for couple of hours now.

How do you connect the pc with the ps2? Direct, or via hub?
And is your pc in the same range as your ps2?
Ie: PC: 192.168.0.1 subnet 255.255.255.0
PS2: 192.168.0.10 subnet 255.255.255.0

As a side note, the ps2client-gui is just a frontend, but make sure the ip for your ps2 is right.

And your ipconfig.dat has to be on the right place on the memory card, else sms won't find it. (forgot where to put, make a search).

And for Sms, i have to start sms first (with ehternet cable connectet) and then i have to start ps2client.

i connect through a router.

i think i found out why.. what is a ipconfig.dat? yea, me not knowing what it is and how to use it was the problem to begin with i suppose. thanks for the tip.

The easiest way to make a proper ipconfig.dat is with the network config in uLaunchELF.

you mean by using ps2net? or is there another file i could use in uLaunchELF?

ULaunchELF -> Setup ( select ) -> Network Config ( place cursor on ip and up, down to modify ) -> 192.168.0.10 ; 255.255.255.0 ; adress of your PC (not router) -> save file. ;)

Now download rad host client 1.4 from:
http://ps2dev.org/ps2/Tools/Misc_tools/Rad_Host_Client_1.4

Execute it.
Drag a directory in the program.

Go to ULaunchELF -> FileManager -> host.
When it first enter you have tow points, goback, wait 2 second, return in to host.

That's all. :)

[edit] nevermind, i had the older version so it didnt have an network settings option.

i still get the same errors, though. i changed the gateway ipaddress to my PC address and it still isnt recognizing my computer. this is so confusing.
