why not use MC Exploit? with launchelf you can copy the exploit onto the memory card from USB device or CD... there's even exploit installer discs you can make if you want to do it the easy way

Read a tutorial on CDGenPS2... but in any case, you will need either a swap disc or action replay, and you'll need a fliptop or slide card... these aren't great options... and if you just want to load launchelf with HDD support, the easiest way is using the memcard exploit...

thnaks judman but i have it on MC and my Mod chip wont boot the MC if my HD is conected to the system. i have tryed to conect it after i boot to MC but it wont load the HD or the nework card,., :(

so what i need to do is edit the launch elf some how so i can tell it that all the other elfs are on the same cd/dvd and link them to the ulaunch prog on the cd.. :cry:

with the MC exploit you dont even need a modchip... so it should work by turning off the modchip...?

anyhow, to boot LaunchELF off a CD/DVD, use CDGENPS2, and create a system.cnf file containing these lines:

BOOT2 = cdrom0:\LaunchElf.ELF;1
VER = 1.04
VMODE = PAL/NTSC

replace Pal/NTSC with whichever you use... (ie... just NTSC or just PAL)

insert it along with all your elf's in CDGenPS2, give System.CNF LBA of 12231... burn to CD... insert... boot.

you might need to edit a config file... LaunchELF creates a config file in the directory its launched from, but on a DVD it's not possible so im not sure if it just doesn't make one, or it saves it to MC... just grab the config file that it makes when you run it from memory card, and open it in notepad... shouldnt be too hard to edit, just make sure to replace MC with CDROM...

this is all off the top of my head so not accurate...

really, this information is easily found around here and on the web by searching.

i just found out that my memcard has the BADATA-SYS (or whatever)
folder, and despite the Launcher claims that it will save itself to
memcard only if the BADATA folder exist, it doest.

so, i'm suspecting that it only save itself in the folder launcelf launched.
in my case, CDfsm which is impossible to save.

so, i'm planning to include the BADATA-SYS folder in my CD, put
the config file (with the button assigned of course) and burn it
along with my launcelf.
can anybody confirm this?

and where can i find sample config file so i can edit.?

the config files are saved in MC0:\CONFIG-SYS

The directory must exist for it to save there... It will not automagically create it... though you can use uLaunch Elf to create it with the FileBrowser...

actually it's "mc0:/SYS-CONF/" :)
