A have a little question about the function of ps2 lenschanger....

i know u have to change the lens to a lens of a different type, and u also have to boot ps2 lenchanger and change the eeprom memory.....

Q1. Do u modify the eeprom memory before, or after, u change the lens ???

Based on the answer to the first question:

if u have u modify the memory after u change the lens, then how will the ps2 read the cd-r containing ps2 lens changer ??? cuz the new lens aint working yet ?? it can only work after u modify the memory,....which can only have after u boot it,........for which u need the cd-r to load,.......which requires a compatible lens........

I have a PAL PS2 30004R........I think my current lens in the 400c, but i am not sure....with the old messiah chip.....

I am thinking of inserting the HD7 lens, cuz i cant find a 400c lens......

is the HD7 lens recommended for my case ??? :banghead:

if your 400c will still read a cd then you boot the lenschanger cd and reprogram then change laser, if it wont read a cd anymore then you will need to have a modchip than has dev1 mode to boot lenschanger from memory card or network the ps2 to pc, and yes a hd7 will work in that ps2 after using lenschanger
