if the magic 2 does use the sx 28 chip couldnt we use the sx28 chip the resistors and the resonator to make a magic3 once we have updated it to the new hex

k im ordering a magic 2 clone to see if this can be done(hopefully the clones use sx28)

the board would need to be modified, cos all the pins needed dont go to the pads (i think)

you cant do it unless you desolder the sx 28 from the board. I had just ordered magic2 boards to make magic2 chips and then i got the magic3 chips. So i cut some tracks and then soldered the sx 28 onto the magic2 board. So you cant do it with a comercial magic2
