Hi there.
I've recently had all sorts of problems trying to put my PS2 back together after modding it, the most recent being the loss of a brown clip that clips down the laser to the board. I reinstalled this after ripping it off of another board, and then when I put it mostly back together I noticed that it would start spinning and then stop. Could this be a ribbon cable issue? As I REALLY don't think the mod chip is to blame here. If I don't put a disc ontop of it, it will spin and search for a disc.
