the V7 shouldnt burn out lasers, they were the best version
was the second laser a genuine brand new or could you have been sold a refurbished which dont last very long.
what were the pot settings on the laser when new

i have no clue what the pot settings were it was a few months ago that i installed the laser and like it worked for about 2 days but didnt work verry well then nothing....but that was wiht my old magic v mod chip ....so i decided after that to upgrade my chip to a matrix infinity so i could get the boot wiht out needing disks and just play games from my hdd but little did i know that not only was it not reading dvd games but it also had stopped reading everything to a point...i did get to upgrade the flash on the modchip once but when i tried to do it to a newer flash it just went black screen after the upgrade...i know how to fix that...but i need my laser working again i would rather not have to buy another one....cause 2 going in a month something else has to be wrong.....if someone else would like to take a try at fixing it for me i woudl send it to them....as long as i can trust them with it....aka not gonna just keep it... but yea....dont know if my rambleing here helped at all but yeah now everyone knows exactly whats happening here at least to the point that i know oh yea its also has the 400R laser in it....

nope no smoke at all....not even smell of smoke so i guess it could not be the lasers them self it maybe is something else... im to the point in which i would rather just pay someone to fix it for me now though ive gotten fed up with trying to fix it myself and would rather not have the chance to cause more damage to it....espically since i imagine soon it will be an outdated system
