I have had a Crystal mod in my PS2 since last January, and it has ran great for the most part. I wanted to start using the DL DVD/ DVD-9 backup games, so I had to upgrade my firmware. Well after doing so at the offical site, my PS2 can nolonger play any of my backed up game at all now. I followed the instructions on the website to the letter. Unless it was the upgrade itself that screwed over my system.
Any suggestions on what I can do to rectify this matter?
The firmware hosted on the Crystal site doesn't load backups for legal reasons.
You need the hacked firmware. Just burn the cue/bin to cd with Nero.

Ah ok thanks. I got it working again. But one last question. Anything I can do to get DL DVDs to read on the PS2? Want to backup the rest of my games but they wont read past the initial loading.

Use toxicpatcher to patch your double layer isos, and yeah i think CC 1.0 supports double layer discs; even if it doesn't, toxic patcher will take care of it and run them... beware of your console version, if it's v9 ou plus, burn it with booktype dvd-rom. Hope i was helpfull.
