My DMS4Pro Story.

I ordered a DMS4Pro from Modchipman.com. It was a 1.0 Singapore. I installed it and followed all the guide lines. I however would get random BSOD 3x's when using the Toxic Os .3. The 3x BSOD would come after warm-up or at random. A BSOD 3x is a a Reset-Black Screen-Reset-Black Screen-Reset-Work. I tested Toxic Bios 1.3 and I never got another BSOD ever again. I was disappointed however, and decided to RMA while I still could. I recieved another 1.0 Singapore. 2-3 months later the modchip is exhibiting the same exact BSOD 3x random stuff. I don't understand why Toxic OS .3 will produce BSOD 3x and the Toxic Bios 1.3 work perfectly. There has been talk that the 1.2 Singapores correct this problem. Does anyone from this forum know anything about this? Any recommendations? The DMS forum is quite dead.

From what I see, I would think that that Toxic OS .3 is bugged. Why would one bios work 100% (Toxic Bios 1.3) and the other (Toxic OS .3) produces random BSOD 3x's? This to me does not suggest an install problem. Supposedly Toxic is coming out with Toxic Os .4 soon, and I think that might fix it. It's taking so long.

Do you think Toxic Os .4 will correct this problem? Why would my install be at fault? Why would an install fault produce a 3x and not a 1x or no workie, and on top of that produce a 100% Toxic Bios 1.3 platform. Should I buy another DMS4Pro with a 1.2 Singapore? Should I buy another DMS chip at all? Thx

It has nothing to do with the firmware...Its the shitty reseller thats selling you old ass stock.

not necesarily Pac-Man. there is a BSOD issue in the current firmware. can i ask what version your console is?

to avoid this issue, please use toxic os 0.2 or toxic bios 1.3

I like both of your suggestions. Yes, Currently I am using Toxic Bios 1.3 with HDLoader to get around those BSOD 3xs.This is all on a V7 PS2. Would you guys buy another DMS4Pro right now if you were me to fix the problem? Would it fix it, or do you believe it has something to do with a bug in the firmware? Wait to see if Os.4 ever fixes it?Thx

No it has never happend to me and my installer said that it is a problem with the original singapore flash chip...IT goes bonkers...

Just thought I'd come and defend us as we're being called shitty...I work for MCM as tech support.

We're official DMS re-sellers, and we simply sell what we get from DMS. We're not selling old stock.

By the way..this customer was from April of this past year, it wasn't recent. Make sure you got all the facts before judging us ;)

I didn't mean to upset anyone. I just want to fix my problem. I will buy another DMS4Pro if I have to, I just want to ensure that I will fix my problem. Modchipman.com is an excellent store, I just think that DMS may be handing everyone the shaft. If I was to get another, I would want to ensure a 1.2 Singapore. Hypersonic?
