1st time ps2 modder what to look for?

I've got the DMS4 lite installed in my PS2 but unlike xbox modchips they don't have an LED on it to tell when its on. What signs should I look for when booting cause i'm not evne sure it's working. I put in the toxic bios cd and it can't be read :\

hold square during boot and it should say chip disabled or something along those lines

if the toxic cd will not boot you either burned it wrong or the chip is not installed correctly .

once u get it flashed with toxic try a backup. it'll before sure that it's working

Hello, just ordered the DMS EZI liteand was wondering if you can point me in the direction of what this homebrew flashs allow me to do and where to get them? are they dangerous to run? etc...
