I can get my PS2 Reality Media Player to load fine using Swap Magic, but when I go to PS2Disc on LaunchELF it won't load, just says load failed. When I try to browse the disc, it's blank.

Yet my emus on CD load fine using either method.

I wanted to just toss all my emus and homebrew and stuff on one DVD, and just goto cdfs and load whatever ELF is the one I want.

Is this just a problem for me, or do others have this problem as well?

How can I get it to read a DVD?

I tried ejecting and putting in a PS2 DVD original, then using fliptop to put in my emu DVD, but it just shows the original PS2 DVD under browser, not my emu, and won't boot.

use disc control... and use a normal DVD Rom... don't use DVD Video as the format of the disc. my PS2 will read a dvd-r just fine with the swap trick. but are you sure you want to use PS2Disc? shouldn't you be using File Browser and then accessing CDVD instead?

if its coming up blank it might be an authentication problem.

but also, what Are you trying to play? a DVD movie like JuddMan said, "Ps2Disc" is for running PS2 games. (discs with a SYSTEM.CNF). if you want to run a dvd movie, then use "PS2 Browser" instead.

I'm trying to get it to load emulators... (and possibly a burnt DVD game or two).

PS2Disc and the file browser both don't work on the discs, but ZoneLoader/SwapMagic load them fine...

to load up an emulator, i am guessing you use the exploit here... first go into LaunchELF, make sure Disc Control is enabled, eject the PS1 disc, put in a large TOC PS2 disc such as Final Fantasy X, then, while still on the menu screen, and when it says 'stop disc' at the top of the screen, you use your slide card, put in the dvd-r, and shut the tray.
then access FileBrowser, and you should see all the files on your DVD-R disc. you can run the emulator's .elf file here. this works for me for Snes-Station.

if you want to run a DVD-R with a proper game on it, or one that has been burned properly with eg. CDGenPS2, that's where you would use PS2Disc.

You could also use 'cogswaploader' which is exactly like Swap Magic, where you put in an original disc, then swap it out for a DVD-RW.

If you are doing exactly what i have described above, and you still only see the contents of the original disc you used to swap with, what version of PS2 do you have?
