@all:
I need to test this version and your opinion about the following things, take note that those fixes are only cosmetic, so no extra feature is added:

1-Do you prefer to display ONLY "+something" partitions in HDD? (yes/no)
2 Do you prefer to display only *.avi files without the .avi and alphabetically sorted? (yes/no)
3-Something was changed in PAL and NTSC, so need your feedback in the following:
3a-test 4:3 and 16:9 movies in BOTH systems (no matter about color) and check if aspect ratio is correctly displayed, no black bars at sides or at top&bottom in 4:3 mode or if image is enlarged.
3b-your system specs, for example: console NTSC v10, TV NTSC/PAL-B, 220AC 50Hz. Modchip type and modchip startup fixes (yFix for example)
With this fix every format is correctly displayed in both systems ;) for me in color

Waiting for your opinions...

1)
I prefer all partitions (except HDL), e.g. __boot. The setting to automount a default partition is a great way to eliminate clutter, and make it easy to use for children etc.

2)
I prefer to have it filtered, but I do like seeing the extension--even if avi's are the only supported file type. Maybe in the future another programmer will support more (mp3, mpg, jpg etc), at which point those could be added to the filter.
I prefer alphabetical, except for the elflist.txt display. But I guess you can't pick and choose.

3a)
4:3 is fine. Widescreen movies are not tall enough. The vertical height is 80% of what it should be (I measured). This is in comparision to a computer player and 1.4 rev2

3b)
NTSCv7, TV NTSC 60Hz, S-video, DMS chip-the height problem is the same with "no video fix" and "force NTSC fix"

Cheers!

Edit:
1) I like the way uLaunchELF displays partitions
2) Alphabetic all the way. RadHostClient 1.2 includes an easy way to edit the labels in elflist.txt

How about a different icon for avi files?
