I stopped using summ0nes fix when I had 3 motherboards fail on me (dvd spindle would refuse to spin)

I think the cd/dvd controller got fried by the fix (what convinces me the fix was the cause of failure is how sometimes applying summ0nes fix immediately causes the dvd spindle to stop spinning) Others have reported the exact same problem (and no the SMT resistors were not cooked, these were all systems that worked fine and one day decided to stop working)

Now I just use the pic fix (and also diodes on first generation v12 boards), and all is well.
