Hi all
I have spent hours reading so many posts for the last couple of days and I am so confused now. Is it possible for someone to help clear things up for me.
I have just ordered some h2o modchips, now is this all I need for a safe v12, or do i need to add summOne fix or subzero fix or resistors or comsoft or what ????
Somebody please help me

the h20 modchips also come with smd resistors for summone fix, you cut track connect the 2 wires from chip and add resistor, check www.subzero-chip.com for diagrams

what dungbeetle said, wait till you get the chips and you will know that the fix is on the chips apart from the extra resister.

As the previous posters say, it is built onto the chip...

ok. that's great, thanks guys, just one more thing...
the summone fix and sub-zero fix are variations of the same thing ?? so I install the chip and can I install the sub-zero pcb, is that right. Can I also install the comsoft fix or is it not needed ??
sorry for all the questions guys, someone needs to write a tutorial on this, lol

the subzero fix is applied by cutting the track and soldering J and K wires. In its operation it shuts down the driver chip when the ps2 crashes - to save the coils.
then if you have one of the 2 values on a resistor on the mobo, you solder one of the 2 resistors onto your mobo. That is the summ0ne tracking fix. In its operation it limits the current thru the coils during normal reading, saving them from overheating and melting themselves/the lens.

ok, sorry but you guys must think i am a real idiot, i feel like one.
1. so the subzero fix is built into h2o chip
2. for the summOne fix. are the resistors supplied with the chip or must i buy them separately?

the subzero fix is on the chip so you just cut track and connect J and K wires from chip, a 560ohm and 2kohm resistor is supplied with chip, if the restors are 303 you add the 560, if they are 683 you add 2k.
