Please Help

I have tried at least 10 movies, and have had no luck at getting any of them to work. Everytime I try to play a movie it says "Checking file format...". How long does it normally have to check? I have let it sit for 5min. and no luck :banghead: Am I missing a file somewhere? Am I doing something wrong?

If I try to play certain movies using ps2 reality pro, it says "no index in avi" Could this be the same reason they are not playing in SMS? If so, is there a way to fix the index prob?

It turns out the way I was putting them on the HD (copy from cd) was basically corrupting the movie. :crazy:
As soon as I copied over the network they worked, a little choppy, but they work!
Now if there was only a way to go back to ps2menu when done :chinscrat

Hmmm...First of all more info is needed about those avis, video&audio codec, resolution, bitrate, etc...you can use GSPOT (search in google) and playback source (CD/HDD/Network) from network it takes a few more seconds, but from CD/HDD the movie starts within 5 seconds. also If you try to play with PS2R and no output the I presume your movies are not Divx/xvid encoded, test in PC first.

Get DivFix from google and fix those avi files. Also do what Mr. Worm~~ said.
