Hey! I've tried to burn PVCS 2600 onto 2 CD's without any luck. I have a Matrix Infinity premod console. Here's what I've done to get the cd's. I have a folder on my computer HD called "ROMS" with about 25 games inside the folder. I noticed the last release of PVCS only has the .ELF file & the FILES.TXT needed instead of a SYSTEM.CNF file in which I read was needed before. I edited the FILES.TXT file with the archive from here with the name titles of my Atari games. Next,I just extracted the .ELF file into a directory. I then placed all these files(pvcs.elf,FILES.TXT,and ROMS folder) into Nero for burning. I selected CD-ROM ISO then selected from the "ISO" tab Mode2/XA & CD-ROM 9660. I then burned the compilation at 4X with all things neccessary turned off for burning like firewalls & virus protection onto a Philips CD-R. I did this twice but the CD isn't working. I've already serached into a tutorial on these forums & there is one but the SYSTEM.CNF file is used with that tutorial & the latest pvcs.zip doesn't have this particular file within the archive so I need to know what I'm doing wrong? Thanks! :chinscrat

Nevermind guys! I just added the SYSTEM.CNF file to my compilation & the disc worked. I was only using the "ROMS" folder with the pvcs.elf & FILES.TXT before & when adding this SYSTEM.CNF file all was solved. I was thinking that with the release that since the pvcs.elf file & FILES.TXT was the only ones included that you didn't need the SYSTEM.CNF file for burning but I was wrong. Thanks!

OK! I got the blue boot screen with 'PVCS" at the top but my games aren't showing. The only thing showing is the contents of my memory card. All my games are in .BIN format in one folder called "Roms" so I don't know why the games didn't go onto the CD. The emulator itself is on the CD not the rom games. Here's the files used for burning compilation:
1.pvcs.elf
2.SYSTEM.CNF
3.ROMS folder(26 game roms)
Do I need to use the FILES.TXT file also with the compilation? I didn't use this. If so,then I have to place all the names of my game roms with CAPS into the FILES.TXT & save over the one with the archive, correct? This will replace the FILES.TXT with the archive with my game roms to be used for burning, right? Is there any particular order these names have to be placed into the .TXT file to match my folder called "ROMS"? Thanks! :chinscrat

Do NOT use FILES.TXT.
What do you mean the games didn't go onto the CD? Are they there if you look at the disk in your computer?
Try building your ISO with CDGENPS2. Carefully follow the instructions in this thread:

I remember reading that older versions of PVCS needed at least 30 roms, but that shouldn't be a problem anymore. Just to make sure, you should go buy a few more roms.
