well im sorry for the lame joke i told you guys a couple of days ago i was lieing lol, ehm anyways but listen to this. i emailed the matrix team this was my quote:

You can search the boards for my views on ripping or however you may want to put it. This is exactly why innovations in the ps2 scene come only once in a blue moon; nobody has the real skills to come up with these features themselves. They simply wait for someone with a real mind to do it and rip it. im not going to bother to get into another anti ripping match, especially with someone whos best interest is selling chips that would potentially need this. Been there, done that, read the book. :rolleyes:
this feature isnt worth a damn anyways. it simply depreciates those who actually buy originals and orginal online games. Most of the people here wouldnt know anything about that. :chinscrat

plus i thought it waz only the hacked firmware that does the dnas bypassing ?

no, the cc team did not rip the feature. with o2 you need to insert the original at least one time as far as i know for the dnas feature to work (so it "caches" the id).
with cc, you technically dont need the original at all in your ps2.
it only works with the hacked fw as far as running copies does only work on the hacked fw. i believe that propably taking the disc-auth out of the fw did also disable dnas somehow (as such i dont believe this "feature" was put into the firmware intentionally, but by accident).
so you are right, you can only bypass dnas with a copy when running the hacked fw, as only with that firmware you can run copies at all. the original firmware will not run the copy.

Well, i dont really care if you think im lieing or not, all i know is soon the matrix infinity owners will have the same option of online play with the cc chip.

personaly i dont see dnas bypass as a big deal, i mean the ps2 online is rather shit and only a few games worth gettin to use online and if u guys cant aford to buy 3 or 4 games then i dont think u should own a ps2. i mean come on, support the game developers, if u dont we will never get decent games. think bout it.

I wanna mod mine so I can play backups. When my cousins come over my house, they get my discs fucking scratched. One of them even cracked it. Another reason is that I wanna watch Xvid/DivX movies on it. Watching movies on TV is a lot better than the computer monitors.
A couple days ago I hooked up my PC to my Sony standard definition TV through the S-Video and man, the color a lot better. The biggest thing I think is that compter monitors can't show black colors very well.

also I have a huge collection of official games I just chip consoles to make bucks
I only really have about 10 'backups' compared to around 40 official

Btw Would anyone mind EMAILING the INfinity team aGAIn! because i wouldnt want to email them again asking the same question, but maybe if all of us ASK together they would actually try to work harder on this and we infinity users will finally get it. its been a month ive posted this thread and infinity team still hasnt come up with it.

man are you serious it hasn't been more than a month since the last firmware update, give it time, if they do plan to get it for the infinity than they will get it done eventually. sending them email asking when they are going to have it, doesn't help speed things up. if you really want to play online than BUY the game and support game developers or switch to the crystal chip. don't get me wrong i'd love to have the feature too but i still purchase games. :apirate:

tottaly agree, its nice to bypass DNAS, but c'mon, it will fk up sony's online play.
And dont gimme that crap about 'the sony online play isnt good enough to pay for'.
coz u seriously wanna play online, u prolly dont have enough money or ur 2 lazy to pay for it.
