Question to those who have painted their PS2

Would painting the case have any effect on insulating more heat? I know I painted my comp case, and it runs a fair few degrees celcius higher because of it. Could cause any problems? I am awaiting an answer with schematics and spray paint in hand. Thanks for your input!

Not really enough to affect your PS2 in any way shape or form. If your really that concerned then by a USB fan ;)

I plan on painting my case (when i can get around to it)

ever been to a fair and seen thos guys (or girls) making those space painting (planets, stars, commets etc...) our of spray paint and cups or coffee cans and such? well I know how to do those so I plan on painting my PS2 like that, maybe with some purple planets, some blue planets. who knows. (of course I'll avoid covering the PS2 logo. :D

when I get it done I'll see if I can get ahold of a digital camera to take a picture of it.

the thing im concerned about is that i dont want it to be sandpaper like.....seems like spray paint would ruffen it up, but i know nothing about spray paint...

as long as your not to close with the nozzle and dont let it collect in one spot to long and cause it to run it should be fine.

Just sue ordinary car sray paint and you'll be fine.

I did that on a test bit (the bit I cut out of my PS2) and I did that and had bog splodges on it. I left it for a few hours remembered about it and when I saw it..... it was as smooth as a babies bum! (and it looked like the nicest paint job ever (it settles itself))
