usb advance with ripper 3.1 not work.
That is because the 'Ripper 3' is a bad copy of a stolen design.
The original chip is called "Matrix Infinity", and allows you to turn off the 'macrovision fix' which conflicts with USBextreme/USBadvance. But if you try to do that with a bad clone chip (like the ripper), then the chip will die...

Your only chance to get it to work is to boot with the chip completely turned off (assuming that it does allow that, at least). But you can hardly do that if you're using USBadvance, as you will need an original USBextreme disc to boot with mod-chip turned off. (Unless you install the exploit...)

With a v12 PStwo your best chance to get something similar to the exploit is by getting Swapmagic 3.6 and a USB drive. When you boot the Swapmagic disc it will look for a USB drive, and if you have one connected it will look for a folder named SWAPMAGIC, and inside that folder it will look for a file named SWAPMAGIC.ELF, which when found will be launched. That ELF file may of course be any program you want, renamed to that name.

Since your original wish was to use USBadvance, I assume you already have a USB drive, so only the Swapmagic disc is missing...
