I liked your 'THEME 1' at first sight, partly because of its neutral and discrete looks, and partly because it's one of the few skins/themes catering to the 'Big List' patch. However, when I started to use it I found a few cases where it looks a bit messy (dialog boxes), and one lack that I simply disliked (no scroll bar). So I decided to invest some time in fixing these issues. The revisions I made are in the attached ZIP.

I only revised 3 files, these being:

COLORS.txt was edited to make some more objects visible (some frames, scroll bar, etc).
MAIN2.bmp was edited to avoid collision of HDLOADER background text with scroll bar.
SPLASH2.bmp was edited to have its background text line up with edited MAIN2.bmp

Those 3 files plus a short text file stating the above (more or less) is all the contents of my attached "revisions to THEME 1.zip", so anyone downloading it will also need the original "THEME 1.rar" file posted here by accadeecee earlier.

Agreed, problems inherant with a skin like this that incorporates frames in the background arise when entering compatability modes, install etc. I toyed with the idea of leaving the other frames in but for "simplicity's sake" (I got lazy) i removed all of them. As for the scrollbar I removed it for a cleaner look but if you have a large list of games it is nice to know roughly where you are in the scheme of things.

I have only two problems with this skin:

1) I can't get the buttons to show even though I use the "/IB buttons.bmp" or "/IB buttons.tga" command with hdlpatch (any version).

2) The text aren't all in caps like in the preview.

Everything else is fine.

1) You were close, try this..... /IB button.bmp (not buttons.bmp)
2) Edit your text with Zer0-X's latest patch to however you like it

Thanx for the input eMaNoN and spkleader :D . Slapped together another quick splash as per request. I've temporarily defected to the Xbox scene... :cry: but i'm still checking in on a regular basis.... Waiting on the next big thing in ps2 scene but untill then i gotta keep myself busy.
