Usb advance freezes when loading games(loading, please wait...)

Anyone there help me? My slim ps2 and usb advance see my usb advance and hard drive with games installed but it's freezing when loading games(right after I press "start"). But it works very well when I connect it to my friend's old fat ps2! Help me please or I die

That's very interesting - why would compatability be better on different models?

Would explain why my Slim PS2 compatability is only about 58%!

Can anyone else with access to slim + other verify this?

psone: what is the procedure to put games in the Usb Advance drive (from the start - formating and all this)

Same question to you.Is the Ps2 modded.? If possible,turn off the Mod Chip and try it again (You can install Usbadvance via Exploit Installation)

yes, it's moded but i don't know which modchip i have. And in another forum, they told me that i need a modchip to use the USB advance.

I bought it in Japan with the modchip installed in it.

Maybe there is a conflict between your Modchip (when active) and USBAdvance.Therefore (if you can) turn off the Modchip and try again.You can find tutorials here in the Forum about installing Exploits on a Memorycard.Sorry,i don't know your Modchip...

but it didn't work for my friend PS2 too (he has the fat one) he has the same prob as i do...

So,maybe he has the same "Problem" when his Modchip is active.Does he know which Modchip is installed.Sorry,for my "poor" help,but the first thing i would try is to turn off the Modchip and give USBadvance another Try.If you (or your friend) don't have the Retail version of USBextreme you can install USBadvance via Exploit.

Hi all there, I'm sorry that I didn't have time to reply sooner! With your all helps, I think that usb advance freezes when loading just because of a modbo modchip(with matrix infinity 1.38 firmware) inside my slim ps2. I did reflash my modchip with matrix infinity 1.45 firmware and now another problem came to me, when I boot up my ps2 the "Matrix" logo of new firmware is freezing there and can't be skiped and I can't play copied games anymore :banghead: ! Anyone there can help me with this problem again?

I loaded my four games DYNASTY WARRIOR 5, DEVIL MAY CRY 3, WINNING ELEVEN 8 AND GTA SAN ANDREAS into my hdd and they all worked very well with old fat ps2 consoles! I also tested 3 other Maxtor hard drive with 40,80,120GB and they worked too with acceptable loading speed. Sorry for my English :D

Don't use 'format' function on usb advance disk to format your hard drive(do that with windows2000/XP) and be sure that you can see hdd's drive letter(i/h/g or any) in your "my computer" and it's accessable in your window and use "ul_install" dos program to transfer games to yr hdd. There's GUI ul_install program out there but I prefer dos based program :p

Hi Psone,i think you (can) destroy your Matrix Clone if you try to flash the Chip with the Original (or better say newer) Matrix Firmware.Same Happen's if you try to change the PreSettings for your MoboChip.This is a bad Sideeffect of these cheap Modchips :(

and so i did, and now it's saying that the filesystem is unknown. (because it's not FAT32)
what format your disk is?
