One big skin pack

It would be nice if someone would release one big skin pack with all the skins so far what do you reckon? ;)

Seeing how 90% of the skins I've seen for HDLoader so far are complete crap, I doubt this would be a good idea. Quality over quantity is the way to go.

Maybe we should have a skinning contest some day and release the top ten in a skin pack.

Or better yet, a page with thumbnails of the skins so you can view them all on a single page then just click the one you would like to download. As DrGast pointed out, downloading everone in a pack is a waste (of bandwidth and my time) when there are only a few I would even concider using.

Does anyone of you know wether there's a tool or a way to display skins as they are in HDLoader? I mean, including a game list, dialogs, buttons and stuff. So far, previewing the splash and main screens only isn't a very good representation of the final skin (especially since the better skins out there include their own sets of colors and fonts).

Of course, we can always make screenshots from the skin running on a PS2, but that would mean a loss of quality and emulators only display an error message for HDL if I remember correctly.

If there's a way to have a decent preview picture of the skin "in action" I'd gladly start and organize a professional skinning contest including several categories (like "game", "movie/tv", "minimalistic/stylish" and "extravagant")

What do you guys think?

Concerning the original skin threads here on ps2-scene.org: I'd really appreciate it if bmp-attachments would be disallowed for those.

Why not create a topic with previews of skins with classification ?
(big size list, small size pics for dev mode, by themes etc etc)
