I have a question and i'm very in need of help...

I've tried linux kit dvd1 on usbadvance... and it boots fine, until it goes on kernel load module screen and hangs when loading usb ohci drivers... :banghead:
I was wondering... maybe some games lock up only because they conflict or overwrite usbadvance drivers for mass storage... :chinscrat
Starting from today i'll gather all the usb-using games i can get my hands on, trying to make them work. If my theory is right... is there a way to avoid conflicting drivers lockups?
Maybe placing an empty file instead of the game's driver (USBD.IRX or such)?
or replacing it with an extracted usbadvance's driver? :badpc:
Any help is greatly appreciated...!

*** update ***

i'm getting my hands on Unreal tournament. As far as i know it is one of the first ps2 games with usb mouse/keyboard support...

i think it needs recompile the kernel without usb support. ;)

That's not a bad idea.. might be worth it... but, if you replace the file with blank data won't that just load blank data over the USB Advance code anyways.... so wouldn't it be better to remove the reference to the file.. and not load it at all...

This also would lead to other problems... no KB, Mouse, or headset support.... I believe that the USBD.IRX must load for any USB devices to work even though they load their own modules... such as USBKB.IRX and USBM.IRX (I think its USBM)
