I can confirm that this game freezes on the first level loading screen. I tried looking for the cdvdman string and I found it. The thing is I couldn't find the same string in the elf file.
Hex Workshop, in my case, can't save huge files.
Can anybody tinker with it?

You need register the Hex Workshop to save huge files.
The SLUS havent the string cdvdman, this string is in IOPRP280.IMG and GAME.PAK

I changed the string cdman to 0s in the file FMOD.IRX and the game freeze in the same place, after changed the string in the file RTFSDVDR.IRX and with only this the game not work.
Waiting a solution

I've heard this works perfectly with toxic 0.3I shrunk Dead To Rights 2 two days ago from 4gigs to atleast 1.5gigs. Plus, I tried it with the new HDLoader Toxic v0.2 core and it still doesn't work.
Any Suggestions, Thank You

The load times are horrible in this game.Sorry dude, doesn't work too.Play GOW or GT4 instead unless you got toxic v0.3.
I think i'm being little too negative lately so...i dunno maybe in the near future we might have support.

The new Gradius V patch also allows this game to be playable off of the hard drive :). The patch can be gotten from this thread: http://www.ps2-scene.org/forums/showthread.php?p=251032#post251032
BTW, I just tested it and got passed the initial loading screen where the game would hang. Still no idea if it'll freeze somewhere along the way.
