any chance of installing ps2os on a pendrive using USBAdvance?
I can't boot ps1 backups any other way and sadly ps2os doesn't work without a hd:(

Mmm... maybe you could try this way... :chinscrat
Take a look here (http://ps2world.it/download/ps2os/), there are several ps2os versions. Maybe you could try dowloading the cd version, removing dummy files (if there are any), re-building the iso with nero and then dump it to usb device with ul_install. ;)
If i'm not wrong Ps2Os tries to install on the hdd, but afaik this behaviour is only depending on the version you're dealing with. :p
Anyway if the above doesn't work, try your luck with LaunchElf 3.34b2... it has a good FileBrowser (don't know if this could execute Ps1 backups though :chinscrat )

would that not just run the install cd off the pendrive?, I'm getting annoyed because ps2os won't run without a hd installed.....why can't it just ignore this lol

Well... i'm gonna check when i'll get back home from work. Anyway, i'm kinda confident there is a CD release working without hdd...
...but actually i'm only using launchelf with the exploit cause i find it really more stable and (quite) full-usb compatible... well, at least with my Creative muvo :p
