Tekken 5 crashing while playing from HD

Every time I am matched up with Marduk in arcade mode, the game hangs at the "Get ready for the next battle" screen. Anyone else have this problem? I'm using a V9 PS2 with memcard exploit HD Loader + FFXI 40GB HD. This is the only time the game hangs for me.

Fighting against Marduk in story mode works fine.

Try to reinstall it and ensure the source disk you used to install the game doesn't have lots of scratches that could cause read errors when installing.

See if turning on Mode 1 works.

Mine works fine. No crashes whatsoever and I've already finished the game with everyone. Have you checked your HD? Is it an old one? You might want to check it with a checkdisk program to see if there's any bad sectors.

Although, if it's hanging from the exact same part then I seriously think it's a bad rip (ie. there were some disk errors).

I'm guessing it's just a bad rip since no one else seems to have the problem.. doesn't bother me much anyway since I spend most of my time in Vs. mode. Thanks for the help guys.
