I would like to know from all those that seem to have slow loading times with USB Advance what type of hard drive are being used. With my V12, I have seen a good speed increase when using a 200GB MAXTOR 7200 (16MB cache, 6B200R0) vs a 200GB MAXTOR 7200 (8MB cache, 6B200P0). The drop is horrible while playing with a 160GB MAXTOR 7200 (2MB cache, 6Y160L0). Both the 8MB and 16MB cache hard drives are good for gaming while the 2MB cache HDD is borderline annoying to use while running heavy FMV packed games.

Cheers

Using a Maxtor One Touch 300GB 16MB cache - fairly slow to load and stuttering in video - I doubt HD makes a difference though as the limiting factor is USB 1.1

all the movies are squared, chopped. loading time is slower than dvd. copying games to the HDD is a pain, especially with fat32. Tried NTSF, speed is 3x faster, but too bad usbadvance doesnt support it.

Using a 160 maxtor diamond plus and everything is ok apart from the choppy fmv's.
