ul_install READ errors?!?!?

Hi All,

is anybody having read errors with the ul_install tool for the usbextreme/usbadvance? Outside of a very small game (crazy taxi), ALL of my installs abort with READ ERROR. My DVD's are fine (i.e. they boot fine on the PS2 with no issues at all). They are scratch free (where recently burned and very little play time). They are DVD-R.

Anyone having the same issue? I guess we'll have to wait for WAY better software to install the games to the HDD.

Try cleaning yer laser in yer dvd rom/writer

Try ripping them onto the HD first then mounting them on a virtual drive and installing from there. I doubt it's a ul_install problem as it will use windows call to read the dvd.

I always do that anyway to see if I can 'shrink' them.

If you still have problems then either the disk is damaged or a hardware prob. (or software - aspi or wrong mode set for the dvd)

It happen to me today but there was a sight scratch on the disk, I just re-wrote the disk and it went on np's. It must be tempermental.
