About USB Advances and modes?

Hi all, I tried copying Xenosaga 2 on my USB HDD, Usb Advance load fine but in the game list, when I press select I see no options to select between mode 1 and 3... any clue?

(Loading Xenosaga 2 without any mode only gives me a black screen)

Sorry to tell you this, but there are no "modes" to be set on UsbAdvance... :(

are there rumblings of a future "upgrade" to allow for modes to be added ?
