check your direction of the transistors, this was my problem !

what transistors did you use ?
mine are bc547 for ztx300 and bc557 for ztx500

bob i used the same substitutes, they are only switching small currents/voltages so they should be fine, i would suggest the emitter base collector orientations be checked as the pinouts i am sure are different for these. i am hoping to find some time this weekend to build my fluffy so pm me if you have no luck
cheers

Could you give the voltage you've got on transistors pins ?
I place them like this (the pic is at bottom left, rs232 at top left):

Is this right ? (I checked datasheets for CBE/EBC)

I've used BC547/557 too and they're working fine.
Have you tested the switching of the voltages on SX-socket by removing the PIC and simulating with a bridge the outputs of the PIC ?

Yes, I did all the test mentionned on the fluffy website, but no luck :(

have you tried the dosdriver ? (commandline)
had the same problem using fluffy2 on a windows 98 machine.
Tried it on a laptop running win98 it worked OK, tried an XP machine it worked OK , tried original win98 machine got "Out of Retry" fault. can only assume that its something in the setup of this machine.

hi all,
I've tried to program it with the dosdriver, but no luck too ! It seems to work but when I read it again, datas are wrong.
How did u program the 16f84 ?
For info, I own a 16f84a-20, I program it with the ICSXPROG.HEX provided, with XT oscillator set.
And I'm using Win2k+sp3.

Don't change the fuses after loading the hex !
My fuses are:
Oscillator HC (It's a Crystal)
WDT and CP disabled
PWRT enabled
So the fuseword is 3FF2 !

Problem solved...
the "out of retry" was given because there's a low corrent on the power supply...this chip sucks a lot
