Tray switch,cog-swap no mod chip

Can I make a tray switch on a v7 ps2 pal and can anybody give me instructions for it?
Can u play DVD-R with cog swap,and does it work on v7

I dont know alot about pal, but I have loaded some DVD games with cogswap. You just put in the trigger cd, then put in a DVD game. Wait till you see the purple disc, and swap out for your back-up. I have seen ( More than once ) that you must swap the DVDs fast, or it wont boot 100% of the time. I have a version 5/6. I dont know if it works on a version 7 or not. I hope this helps. :)

you can BUY a tray switch for about $15 usd, any "no-sod-r-mod" chip for version 5, the "R" fit and work on versions 5 to 8

NO, the tray switch does that job for you, it opens the tray without the ps2 knowing it, it's exactly the same principle, so both is an absolute waste.
