whooo!!!!!!! I just did some digging around and found a hack that does the same thing for IE! it's pretty sweet, what it does is instead of IE only requesting 1 or 2 things at once, it requests 6, which works awesome if your connection can handle it! my internet is blazing now, I'm surprised I hadn't heard bout it before :D
so for anyone with Internet Explorer, and a FAST connection, DL the attatched File, and right click on it and hit merge it's a reg file (nothing bad in it i promise)
Thnks to staple from IRC for the help :)

works for mozilla aswell, since firefox is based on mozilla
From the site
1.Type ?about:config? into the address bar and hit return. Scroll down and look for the following entries:
network.http.pipelining network.http.proxy.pipelining network.http.pipelining.maxrequests
Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading.
2. Alter the entries as follows:
Set ?network.http.pipelining? to ?true?
Set ?network.http.proxy.pipelining? to ?true?
Set ?network.http.pipelining.maxrequests? to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once.
3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it ?nglayout.initialpaint.delay? and set its value to ?0?. This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives.
If you?re using a broadband connection you?ll load pages MUCH faster now!

omegatron

what netzero highspeed does is it caches pages and when you goto that page it checks whats outdated or changed and it only downloads those items, there are plenty of free programs that do this like AnalogX's FastCache (http://www.analogx.com/contents/download/network/fc.htm) which works pretty good on broadband too. If you can shell out 15bucks a month for the netzero highspeed you can probally shell out 30bucks a month you live in NJ right so do I, they have this promo you can get a wireless router/modem combo when you get DSL with verizon they doubled the Cap from 1.5mbps(megabits) to 3.0mpbs(megabits) which is on par with most cable modems plus DSL is more reliable and you'll truly get 3.0mpbs unlike comcast where if your signal strength aint that good or your area you get around 2mpbs like I do :-/ thats why im switching after new year

hmm I don't think that's what netzero does, I thought they compressed the website then sent it to u then you uncompresss blah blah blah speed improvement....
the cache u speak of, IE already kind of does...

same idea only better found at reptilerooms.com forums
1. find network.http.pipelining double click it so it goes from "false" to "true"
2. find network.http.pipelining.maxrequests double click it and change it to 100
3. find network.http.proxy.pipelining double click it so it goes from "false" to "true"
4. find network.http.max-connections double click it and change it to 60
5. find network.http.max-connections-per-server double click it and change it to 32
6. find network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-proxy double click it and change it to 16
7. find network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server double click it and change it to 8
it makes a pretty noticible difference and i thought i might as well share it with you all
\this allows faster connections to more things.. ppl who used the first method should see a dif with this one

This may not be a good idea to use if your connection is already fast. Websites can take it as a DoS attack and your IP can be banned. If you are using it keep the connections low.

hmmmm, hasn't happened to me yet, been using it for a couple weeks still runnin' strong ;)

No problem for me, I have dynamic ip address. They can ban me but all I have to do is reconnect and my dsl change ip.
