Hi,
since I'm using my PS2 with an RGB cable to watch DVD movies, I boot up AR2 and use the region-free option to view a the video in proper colours (when playing a DVD movie on an RGB cable without AR2, the picture will be green-black, I don't like switching my cable to composite since RGB results in a sharper picture).
Now, this is basically the only time I'll have to swap the CDVD, since all my games already reside on the HDD. So I'm looking for a solution that allows to put some region-free tool on a HDLoader partition. I already suggested on the IRC channel to put AR2 itself on the HD, but somebody told me this wouldn't work because of a copy protection. I'll try that soon anyways, but I'm not sure if that works at all, because I imagine that the region-free loader of AR2 is quite a hack and booting HDLoader first could lead to other problems.
So, did anyone try something similar before?
