Do I need some form of system file to get the CD to boot? Other emulators always seem to have an .elf file and a "System" file.

I have a Mod chip.
I have sucessfully burned and used other emulators (PGEN, SNES, etc.).
I have configured the files as discussed in the forums (roms on the main directory).
I have create the FILES.TXT file as discussed.
I burned the CD in ISO2 Level 2 Mode 2.
I have include .MP3 files to make sure the CD was over 20 Meg.

It doesn't seem to recognize the CD.

me too, i did the same thing, made a perfect files.txt-list, but the cd still doesn't recognize the elf-file.
then i also tried dummy files and put a system.cnf and set in cdgenps2 lba to 12231.

please make a tutorial or a cd-version for running pvcs by cd!
 thx

Hi;

The first thing to make is to have certainty of archives FILES.TXT and SYSTEM.CNF are correct. You can find the ones that I use attached.

The main clue is put the SYSTEM.CNF at LBA 12231 and PVCS.ELF at 12232 and the total number of files in CD less than 32. (due a "bug" , the system is unable to manager more than 30 ROMS :chinscrat ).

Be sure that the SYSTEM.CNF and FILES.TXT take our contents in uppercase fonts and... have a fun!

sorry for my bad english ;)

thanks a lot for the quick help!
your tutorial helped me - and it worked!
i hope to put more roms (<30) in the next version!
by the way, does this instruction works for any other homebrew elf-files, to run it on cd? if yes, then i'll try all the other ones, which doesn't have cd-image file included.
