OK..here's a nifty one....

Since it now seems appropriate to make sure no else has done this... :)
I'll give credit to anyone that wants to claim this...

Using three pots and three LEDs a custom color can be made for your case..

anywhere that you have LEDs for lighting the case... behind the grill, in a window... yadda yadda yadda.... use 1 RED, 1 BLUE, and 1 YELLOW LED.

then using the pots you can custom the colors that you want... whenever.
feeling purple today... turn up the red and blue...

green.. yellow and blue.... also you can have it as bright as you want or as dim... then just turn a few knobs and presto....

If the color balance of the LEDs is good and the brightness the same you should have no probs making about any color... even white.

no one has done it. It's possible....

just make sure you put resistors on each LED in series since you will run into problems with differnt colors in series

Or

put the separate colors on their own paralell circuit

OK... I see what you're talking about.... yeah regulating the voltage... the red, blue, and yellow LEDs will be on seperate power.... but the brightness will be tuned so that all match (using a pull up resistor) and the pots will then control them from there.

here we go.... I found a RGB LED... four leds running from it.. one for the red, blue, and green and the cathode.....this would make the light distrubution much easier for this idea....

That should work perfectly... with a diffusion filter over the LED having light the interior of the PS2 inside of the windows... and behind the grill... that should do a fabulous job... Sad that I haven't seen these yet...but I haven't done any electronic tinkering for a while... Hell, last time I was making anything electronic, we were still using tubes... LOL
