Mod Ideas N00b Help plz...

Hey all.. I stumbled on this site, and I had heard of PS2 modding before but didn't realize how wickedly sweet it was.. I know about wiring and such.. But I need a little help.. Here are my ideas for what I think I'd like to do

Possibly paint
HDLoader
HDD, maybe External in a little case

anyone have any recommendations for hard drives? what would be a good size, what brand, etc etc... I know it's basically personal pref, but I like to think it's good to trust the pros...

I'm also thinking light crazy.. I have a few window ideas, and I am working on my memory cards this weekend... Sony ones, with a Blue POWER LED, and a White ACTIVITY LED...I am also thinking about taking apart my old Gameshark and seeing what I can do to it.. maybe light up the shark.. eh eh??!
For the windows on the cards, how thick of plastic are you guys using? I got the files that were up here, not just another dumbass posting without looking a little...

as far as case mods and windows and such I think I can handle that, add some cooling maybe, definitly more lights and dress up to reflect it out and make it all sexy... Where do you guys get your LEDs or cold Cathods, I got that one link from the Atomic PS2... Would that work good? and internally could I just make my own little circuit? by that i mean don't leach off something else, goto the main power... Anyone have schems for all the power options in a PS2..? I know I should have the version, it's a SCPH-30001 / 97000 NTSC | U/C I just want to make this thang coool... so continuing the list

for the HDD would I put it in the expansion bay? or would it be better to run it off to some cool nifty box and make the box look more PS2 ish, and would having more than one HDD benefit any or how much... sorry if these seem stupid to you, but u were new at one point too... thanks in advance bye

hey all me again... I just took apart my PS2, the memory card, to see exactly what I'd be working with... Would any one on here be up for hire to mod? I want to do the HDD, HDLoader, Windows, Lights, and a paint job... If you want me to get the parts and send you them, or if you want to get the parts whatever.. I just need to get my Ps2 Pimpin!... also wanted, Mods to memory cards, and controllers... It'd be a little bit more out of the blue than just an in operation light... I'd like to change all the lights to Blue and white, fading paint (can't decide between like Blue to white, Blue to black, or Black to white, or white with red detailing... All Pimpin lights will be blue, cold cathods for the interior, id like to add some cooling it seems to get a little hot... i want to keep the orignal PS2 logo on the side, and highlight the Playstation one under it , maybe even cut the Playstation out, have a light behind that, thena window above to where the PS2 logo is, have a custom made window with the Ps2 original logo, thne light that, then light the front venting part, change the Sleep/ restart LED to White while on, Blue while asleep, change the LED in 2 controllers to blue, have two LEDs in each of my cards, one blue ON LED, and one White in use LED, the cooling I dont know where it'd go inside.. but yeah.. thats for the techie to figure out... for the hard drive, I still need a recommendation, Preferably something that stands vertically, paint doesn't matter, I'd like an in use led, and a power led on that and a cooling thing if needed... i want to talk to someone about this though so hit me up on AIM at Siiickened Crow or email me at PeopleHateMe197666@hotmail.com
