How long does it normally take DNAS to authenticate??

Always takes at least 15 minutes and sometimes up to a half hour for DNAS to authenticate. Is that normal?? Thanks..

it should do that in just a few seconds... no one wants to wait half an hour to play online.

usually takes a 10-20 seconds for me, but I had it take about 1 minute before.

To the best of my knowledge my connection is ok. Umm...the only other online game is resident evil. It also takes some time to authenticate. Any suggestions?? Maybe reinstall the online disk?

No, no dial up. I have DSL, and Im connected through a router. Im going to try to reinstall and see what happens....

How do I put the ps2 in the DMZ?? Do I have to get the ip of the ps2?? or what?? thanks..

What type of router do you have? If its a Linksys then just go into your settings and go under advanced. There you will find your answer.

OK. I do have a linksys router and I figured out how to put the PS2 in the DMZ, but It STILL takes forever for DNAS to authenticate. I don't know what else it could be. I never get a DNAS error, it just stays on the "authenticating dnas data" screen for a long a** time. Thanks for the suggestions, I really appreciate it. Any other ideas??? No one else with this problem?

i am having a strange problem with SSX 3..........when i go online with the DVD backup, it connects, but when i try the DVDrip backup,...........i have to wait about 5 mins,........then gives the 612 error..........wats the problem ???
