New, please help

So lately i have been wanting to run a few backups of games (not back ups, but emulators, HDLOADER, and things of that sort) well i bought i modchip, but come to find out after it got here that i cant do the soldering to the board :mad: ... then today, i bought an Action Replay Max, not knowing that you cant do a swap method with Max :banghead: .. i have no clue what to do, i dont want to waste anymore money

i saw a few posts on 'cogswapper', what is it? is it a program? or is it just the swap method...
i also would like to know if there is anyway i can use my usb flash drive that works with ARmax for any other emulators besides sega...
also, any other methods for booting burned cds, dvds at this point are not a must, but i have a 40 gig hard drive sitting next to my tv begging to be put into the playstation

dude...first of all.....for you to be able to run backup stuff...you need to find a way of booting cdr/dvdr.....Cogswapper are files that you have to burn to cdr and you need to boot them up with MODCHIP/Fliptop/SlideCard/or any other method....did ya know what kind of modchip you got???

i got a Matrix MXL 2.. i think i wanna sell it.. but i also very badly want to use it, (any soldering tips and tricks would be great)
