I've softmodded my XBOX and gotten a bunch of neat apps and emus to run on it, but I'm wondering if there is any such thing like softmodding for the PS2. I mean where I can hack my PS2 and put apps and stuff on the HDD without a modchip. I have the official PS2 HDD and I would like to do more with it than put a few games on it with HDLoader. I tried the tutorials section but there was nothing there (or nothing showed up for me) and there is now newb forum so sorry if this is in the wrong section.

Well...HDLoader and HDAdvance would probably be your best bets, but you won't be able to play any online games and also, you'll run into some game compatibility issues as well.

well i have HDLoader and was looking for other things to do with my HDD
also can I still play online with a game disc even though i have others backed up onto my HDD? I was never clear on this as I would like to play games online and back up some other games but i know you can't play backups online, and i don't have highspeed internet so i haven't tried but i want to get it sometime soon

same here. I'm new to this type of stuff. I have HD loader and I was wondering if there is a way to expand on it to the point of how some modded X-box's are at.

you can put ps2menu on it. i did that to mine and now i have a bunch of apps of there. also i just took the cover off of my ps2 because i dont feel like paying more for a fliptop slidecard or no solder mod.

Your everything will die if you don't dust it everyday.
