any way to use GS2 or CB with Swap Magic?

Hey, I just wanna ask if Code Breaker or GS2 work with Swap Magic discs? IF they do can any one tell me how? I have a PS2 with Magic Swap discs, I just don't know how to use codes?

yessss.....they do...I'm not sure about GS2 but I know for a fact that CB does...I have v6 & v7 and they both work...not sure about 7.1 or up....here's the step....Oh yea...you need DVDloader or CDloader for this to work....


1: put in CB and select your codes...
2: Go to Start Game and the tray will eject...
3: put in SwapMagic DVD...
4: When smDVD load up, open fliptop and put in CDloader or DVDloader...
(CDloader and DVDloader are the same thing, one is burn on CD-r, the other on DVD-r)
5: When CD/DVDloader load, press the Eject button...
6: put in smDVD again and wait for the disc to load...
7: Press X when the screen tells you to...
8: it's take you to a RED screen and it says somethign like this, "Swap in DVD-r via EA method"---When you see this, open the fliptop and put in your DVD-r, and press X
9: Your game should boot and your code should work...

This is only for DVD-r game...If ya need a step for CD-r, just ask...Goodluck

thanx alot Agee! I finally got it to work. The only I didn't try was using CDLoader in between CodeBreaker and my game.

does it matter which version of Code BReaker I'm using? Im currently using my friend's CB and doesn't know which version to buy so I can use my codes with Swap Magic. BTW, my PS2 is version 7.

I don't know about the newer v8 but I can gurantee you that v6 and v7 works...

version 7 sucks. that's the first one with the gameshark ban software that wont let you use codes on copies, in order to prevent you from booting copies from gs2, nor do any subsequent models.

I use GS v2.0 to load. when you get to the splash screen swap the disk without hitting eject. Using cog swap, flip top, or whatever method you use. Then load game without codes. This method works great.

that's jsut for cd-r backups, dvd's need to start from a dvd toc, so you have to "double swap" in a dvd original disc of a larger toc than your backup....then you have to get gs2 to stop the original from spinning, which they made harder and harder to do with every new gs2 version..... 1.93 is the best one, the dvd will stop at the "insert disc" prompt, but v2.0+ need the "mirra trick" and on, and on.

I remastered my GS2 disc, as a DVD-R, so i can start that with sm dvd, so GS2 runs on the sm dvd toc, to begin with, NOW you can single, anytime-swap (without eject) in DVD-R's, instead, the same as you do with cd-r's off the gs2 original cd, now. This is'nt for starting copies, sm does that on it's own, it's for running dvd-r's with CODES ON, and not being forced to do the old gs2 "mirra trick" just for codes, and that bs eliminated, I used v 2.22, the worst for double swapping, but the best otherwise.
If you want one, I'd have to send it to you, and copyrights are default with gs2, you have to legally own a gs2, already, to use this, since you need the damn dongle, my remaster CAN'T be used illegally, without buying the original, first, so I can mail you one. If you have to swap trick,. and want those codes, and have a ps2 prior to version 7 (SCPH-3900x), this is the best idea I ever had.
