all my games freezes (swap magic)

hi, i have a v4 ps2 and swap magic 3.0.

i boot the swap magic cd and swap to a cdr with a burned game. when i hit X on my controller i always get a red screen, but the game starts after 3 or 4 seconds.

The games works for about 1 minutte and then i freezes.

what is wrong? i know that the red screen is something wrong, but the game starts.

i use verbatim cdr-s and i burn at 4x, the lowest my burner can do.

im a newbe at the knife trick, so it is a possibility that i am doing that wrong, but again the game starts.

any ideas?

im guessing your burning a dvdrip, and just getting lucky that it boots that far

hehe yeah, its a dvd rip. but its the same with hdloader and other cds like movies and emulators

i never heard of a cd burner not copying slower than 4x before but i would put mony on it that you need to slow the burn down to 2x.

Swap Magic cant boot CDRs over 600 meg, because that is the standard TOC of PS2 cd's. Basically DVD rips wont work. You need Breaker Pro for that.

yep...and...FYI...SWapMagic CD v3 sucks at booting CDR....dunno why...it just do...

LAZER adjustment and/or cleaning time. Version 4's are old consoles, now, with the old style KHS400B lazers, but a plus to those is that they're cheaper, but if you want your old model to read dvd-rw, you can splurge a bit more dough and buy a KHS400C like the version 5+ have. Try adjusting it.

Greetings. Is there no way to load a larger TOC and then run the MSG PS1 game? I'm in Swap-Disk mode but alternatively run the MC exploit with HDLoader (HDAdvance) from there. Is Breaker Pro the only option to boot a large TOC? TIA. Regards. :banghead:

no you could also use your OLD gameshark. the one that plugs into the second memory slot and a gameshark CD. after it starts just run game w/o codes and when it asks to change, disc swap it using knife trick and press x or w/e it says. works with all ps1 games i have.
