Questions from a Newcomer

Okay here goes ... just bought my ps2 used from a friend last week ...(i have been with xbox for a while now, got midly impressed when they began doing hd exploits) anyway i am really new to the scene and would like to know
1) how can i get my cracked hard drive loader to run without inserting the cd and
2) how can i save games to my hard drive ...

ps2 specs --- v9 with magic 5k6
Maxtor 60gig drive

Which mod boots from the ps2?

well the hd loader needs to be on the memorycard and only infinity and dms3 boot them without a disc in the drive.

LOY i just got the memory card version of hdloader ... i also "borrowed" a matrix infinity chip from a friend, but how does matrix boot from the memory card ...


(ps2 is really behind the times compared to xbox :)

Sorry just found out the the infinity has its own manager ... thanks for the help anyway LOY

but if you installed mc exploit on it, wouldn't it run even without dms/infinity?

yes but he doesn't want to run a cd with in the drive
