HDD Questions

I'm new to the whole HDD thing. I'm in Australia and down here we don't have the HDD yet. :mad: But we do have the network adapter, I peoonaly don't have it yet because online con only be played with broardband and I am currently stuck on stinkin dialup. :mad:

Here is some info on what I have:
Console SCPH - 39002 PAL
AR2V2 V2.21

My questions are:
1. Can I use any HDD with the PS2 or are there certain types needed?
2. I've read posts about copying games to the PS2 and playing them with out the disc in? How is this down?
3. If I purchase the network adapter and a HDD how can I load up game I back up?

1: Network Adapter is needed, and a HDD that fits. All types of PS2 will work except the earliest Jap models (who have PCMCIA instead of Dev9 port)

Also I found the 'Cracked' HDloader but I was wandering if it matters that my ps2 is PAL and the HDloader elf is NTSC? I have an NTSC compatibe TV if it helps.

If you can start it, it will run.

Have PAL here too, cracked HDLoader runs fine
