From reading through previous threads, I've cobbled up a decent understanding of how the HD Loader utility works.. However, since I'd want to go all the way with a 120GB drive, I want to clear up a few things before throwing my money away on the drive..

I have a v9/v10 (can't really remember.. bought a year ago) with a Messiah2 Pro chip.. If I'm using a backup disc of the HD Loader tool, I can install games onto the HDD from a backup disc that I have, right? These games can then be launched simply by booting the HDloader backup disc?

I have a few games that I like to play online, so I don't even bother backing them up.. Will i still be able to boot my chip in stealth mode and play an original online without getting any trouble from the NA or HDD? or even better, is there a way to patch DNAS enabled games so that they work online with HDloader (don't need to know how, just need to know it exists)?

When the HDD first came out, I read a lot of things concerning its incompatibility with mod chips.. basically that you needed to boot your chip in stealth mode EVERYTIME you ran a boot with HDD attached.. is this no longer an issue now that HDloader is around?

Thanks for your help, everyone..

Nope. You can't play online with any backups using the HDLoader. It essentially disables the NA by loading it's own drivers. You will still be fine playing your originals online in Stealth.

I think what you meant to say Da Brass is that you can't play online at all using a backup or original with HDLoader. HDLoader doesn't recongnize the NA. Correct??

yes thats right relfie. HDLoader does not load or allow the loading of the needed drivers for the Network Adapter. It was probably done on purpose...or maybe the NA cannot handle a internet connection and constantly reading from HDD at the same time.
