View Full Version : Can't install hdd loader mc exploit on v9 ps2 using sm 3.2
Hi, I have a v9 ps2 with swap magic cd 3.2 and I can't install the hdd loader memory card exploit. I followed the instructions exactly but when I swapped the burnt cd, I just got a pink border. Then I went to my friend's house to try the same cd on his ps2, which is a v7 and he used swap magic cd 2.0. It somehow worked on his ps2 so I used my memory card and I can use hdd loader now on my ps2. BTW, I heard that swap magic 3.2 doesn't work with CD with small TOC so I tried burning the exploit with avi files so the CD was about 500 megs but it still didn't work. Why does the same cd worked on my friend's v7 ps2 but not my v9 ps2? Can somebody help me with this because I rather do the exploit using my ps2 because it's more convenient. Thanks.

I had the same issue with the swap magic 3.2 cd boot. IT's a POS.. So i had to use the DVD cdloader to install the hdloader/memory exploit.
Could you specify how you did this? And where can I get the files to do it? Thanks.

Burn the attach file on dvd..
Use your Swap Magic 2.0 to boot the dvdloader.. Once title screen shows,
Hit the "triangle" button on PS2 controller eject the dvd and insert a Legit PS2 CD. Hit Triangle on controller to close tray
It will spin for a sec or 2 then on the Left corner you will notice that PS2 media has change to "CD"
Insert your HDloader exploit cd and hit "X"
That's pretty much it.
Do you have the Swap Top case?

ya, I had the same problem also... But instead of my havein a Swap magic disk I had to use my Action Replay disk.. Then I used the Cogswapcd and then loaded the burned cd of HDloader... After just a few secs or so the HDloader disk started working and installed all the files onto the MC... Its just to bad that I wasted $30 on this thing when I could of just downloaded it.. O-well better safe then sorry I guess...
