Anyone had any problem with the cracked version of hdloader not ripping backup games?

It rips originals fine, but recognises copies and refuses to install them. I did manage to frig this protection, as i have a switch on my Modchip (Magic 2), so I can boot into hdloader, switch off the chip, install the copy game.

The problem is, that it comes with with Fatal Read Error someway though, it has done it on every DVDR game I have tried (I did get a CDR game installed thou..)

These same DVDR games work fine in the console, and are burned onto PS2 friendly media (Ritek G04).

Any ideas??

a friend of mine had a similar problem to what your having. After a few searches in other forums we decided to try the dvd version of the free hdloader, which eventually worked (larger TOC i think). She has a version 3 ps2 and you havin a magic 2 chip the dvd version should do the trick.
post your results if you got it to work.

you can also just use a HD dumping tool to put the games on from the pc.

try to avoid installing games using HDloader as much as possible since it rips for 30+ mins giving your laser a lot of work. dumping games is a lot faster (5-9mins for a midsized to full sized game) than hdloader anyways.

lol shuyin131, first everyone says that HDLoader will help laser life alot, not your taking it to the next step. (who needs a laser anyway right? :) )

I had some trouble using the cracked version to install a backup. But I just kept trying and finally it stopped giving me the "invalid ps2 disc error" and let me isntall the game. I guess you just have to try it a few times.
