Swap/No Mod

I am just wondering if there is a way to do the swap without any special disc like GS/AR/Swap Magic...without any of them. Is it possible to do this like with the ps1 using a retail copy of a game? What I am going to try doing is just the mem card exploit to get hdloader onto it. I am getting a chip sometime soon but I am picking up a ps2 tonight and would like to mess around and put the bigger hard drive in. Is their any type of exploit or swap without one of those special discs? Thanks ! :)

Not really, its slightly possible to put SM3.0 on a memory card through the exploit , but 99% of the tutorials on the net require you to have the Swap Magic disks, so therefore the answer to your question is no.

ya Killer you can run HDloader off of your MC... but in order to do so your going to need some sort of swap disk in order to load the software... After the HDloader loads it will install to the MC...
Sorry kl0wn.. Sents you dont have a mod-chip yet your goin to need to a swap disk or AR/GS/or CB to boot copyed software.. (like games and prorgrams)... Sorry bro!..

or you can take your memoCard to a friend who have the fliptop/swapMagic or Chip to load it up into your MEmoCard....
