I'll ask this because in every single forum I've been to users are not allowed to post DNAS Disc Ids, even in the forum that started it all.
So, my question is, are we allowed to post DNAS Disc Id's?
If so, I can post a bunch of Id's for PAL games.

i hope were at least allowed to talk about dnas it says we cant , but i think they still setting up. wouldnt make sense not to when you got a slogan like that :P
Haha, yeah. I'd actually be a little dissappointed if we're restricted in our dicussions in ANY way, shape or form. If this is truly going to be PS2Newz again, we should be able to talk about whatever the hell we want. In that length history post, this WAS boasted to be OUR forums, right?
Just my two sense.

yeah man ps2ownz banned me for talking about the (cracked hdloader) they released or I thought they released. All I asked was why they took down the news and about the hdloader and they just banned me...only to find out the next day that you were'nt allowed to talk about it...how screwed up is that. Its not my fault that someone else released stuff under their name or whatever...what do they expect ppl to do not talk about it when it happens...that sucks...ohh well screw them i got newz not 4 life :)
Talking is ok posting is a no no! :ban:

you don't seem to understand, people begin talking about this Sony sends in letters to this site, the hosts, vbulletin, we get license revoked, host pulled, lawsuit...things aren't just as simple as "just let us"
while were at it why dont we post entire ps2 games too?
Get your stuff at the regular places :) Talk about it here

Yeah, that's all I want to be able to do, is to talk about it. I was in no way requesting illegal materials, and last time I checked, freedom of speech wasn't against the DMCA.
Excuse my rash tone, but if we're not going to be able to talk about certain things here, this site might as well have never came back up. If a site like this is going to exist, the creators have a responsibility to the users. If we talk about something and Sony comes in huffing and puffing, I think it should be dealt with rather than telling us we can't talk about it just because you're scared. A site like this better be able to deal with the consequences, otherwise it's USELESS. It's just another Ownz or ConsoleNewz.
Once again, excuse my rash tone. And whenever I say "you," I meant it to be a general term. This isn't intended JUST for this site...it's intended for every site, everywhere, that wants to make a difference. I think it needs to be said.

The question here was posting DNAS Disc ID's which would get this place shut down damn fast.
we already talk about backing up games, mod chips, hacking our consoles...what more do you want???

Most notibly, the description for this fourm. It's what caught my eye in the first place.
"Topics relating to the PS2 Network Adaptor and online gaming. Discussion of DNAS bypassing or hacking is not allowed."
Even though there is a "Bypassing DNAS" thread stickied, which I thought was comical. My original post here was more in reference to MaJJaL.

As this is a public forum, it's content is pretty much decided upon by the users. We only step in to moderate when it is necessary. In the case of DNAS related subjects, there is nothing to stop people from TALKING about it. We not, however, allow posting of materials which may be copyrighted, which includes disc ID's.

well, if it is like that, can I post here the link to a forum that has updated DNAS Disc IDs and other stuff related to online gaming on PS2? I guess the answer will be no, but it doesn't cost trying.
NO NO and NO! I dont think you guys quite understand something about DNAS. You need to read the TOS prior to jumping online next time. Hacking DNAS is illegal. We already know that Sony has been lurking the forums and watching the DNAS stuff posted online. We dont want to get embroiled into a lawsuit with sony just because you guys want to play your warez online.
Also as a creed, many release groups never hacked online gaming features because it would give users no incentive to buy the game. Hacking DNAS is completely against the ethics of the scene and we dont believe in hacking DNAS anymore than they do.
take it however you want to.
