Im getting the word .... TRADER !
really .. any post that is positively begging for the code has got to be from someone with a vested interest in making money from the release.
hows about one of these guys putting forward some scenix code that handles patching a bios with a data window of 80ns ...
THEN we can see if they really need the Code or the Chip or the way to program it ..
lol

ppl only want free things coz they thinks a piss to make well all you wanna be's i got news for you it takes money time and brains to do this shit believe me when you find out half of the shit you need you will think twice
just leave it up to the pros, what you think your gonna cut corners by making it yourself, waste of time really

it takes a progger that can do scenix/ubicom SX28AC chips , the skill to attatch a 50Mhz resonator to the OSC pins and the same soldering knowledge as it takes to fit any other no-swap mod...
oh .. and maybe the magic3 hex .. but that might be a little harder to find ;)
Homebrew no-swap mods ARE gonna be in the hands of the public very soon .. its just the traders that have anything to lose ..
i can here the profits slipping away from here .... and im laffing my ass off

Yes, the modchip part itself costs $5-$10, but what about the months of research, programming, and loads of other work that go into making a (relatively) stable mod solution? Don't judge the value solely on the part the chip comes on. After all, the code doesn't magically materialize out of thin air..
...Otherwise, a Messiah-2 equivalent would have been out months ago.
Also keep in mind that the developers of the modchip are not the ones selling them for $89. Its the resellers of the modchips that sell them for that much, and as long as people keep buying them at those prices, they certainly have no reason to lower them.
PS2 modchips are in VERY high demand right now on the scene, which is why resellers can make a hoard of money off of them. If the price is that unbearable to you, then don't buy them. Convince your friends and other people to do the same. Band together and refuse to buy them if its that bad. Laugh all you want here, but in a case that enough people (however unlikely) come together and *don't* buy from a company or whoever who sells at obscene prices, chances are they won't have much of a choice but to meet the demand of the consumers and lower the price to something more affordable.
At least, that's my take on the situation. The developers put alot of work into developing a code for these chips; while we do complain about the lack of features or bugs, I'm pretty sure it takes ALOT of time and effort to get to the point where they have a stable solution. *They* make their profit when they sell them to the resellers, the resellers then raise the price so they can turn a profit.
..Well, that's my take on the situation anyway. I'm open to hear arguments, gripes, and whatever else.

shuu i totally argue with you on this and its true we buy them from cheap and stack on a shit load of money on top to make a profit
but these ppl think its going to be a 10 min job and everything is fine but i hate to piss in your pocket, it take more then a simple 10 min to build you need to do a alot of research
and as i said b4 leave it to the pros as they know what there going, or your doing is trying to get things cheaper, just pay the few extra dollars and get one a professional one where this way it might not blow up on you, and atleast it comes with warrenty
thats my 2 cents
