here are my specs:
spch-50001/N
serial:FS10
barcode:Px710

my goal: to boot a psx Utility cd(a modified title.db file) with my original psx game(nitrous oxide). A ps2 memory card exploit so i can boot hdloader

procedure:
1. http://www.jeexlabs.com/hdloader/
2.http://www.megagames.com/ps2/ps2swap/index.shtml

i burned the utility with nero on 4x with a cheap cd-r. I did both of the swap tricks and cannot successfully complete it. Do i need a gameshark/action replay to do this swap?

so i can't use my Original Psx game and swap it with my utility cd?

no youre almost right, what you need, is a gameshark or swap magic, so that you can BOOT the installation CD that you created, once you get that CD booted, it will install the files to your MC.
(Youre BURNED utility CD will never boot on its own, it says original in the guide...)
After that you dont need this disc any more, all you do is put in your designated PSX CD, and it will trigger the exploit and run the program described.

v9/v10 need to have SM 3.2. Nothing else will alow you to boot with a swap, but once it's on the memcard everything's a breeze. Let us know how it goes.
